Each page shows the PB Swiss Tools products that we normally carry in stock in each category. PB makes more than 2200 products so if there's something you need but don't see, please call us or email. You can request a printed catalog from us along with a listing of our stock items. Our stock changes frequently so we often update the listing. We have tried to display on this site all the information available about each product we carry from the PB Swiss Tools catalog. For example, each hex wrench, screwdriver, punch, etc. will have applicable data showing screw size, diameter of shaft, length of blade, overall length, etc. If you place your cursor over the icon at the top of each column, it will display the type of content in the column below. All PB measurements on our website are metric and are shown in millimeters. The conversion to inches can quickly be done by dividing the metric number by 25. For example, 100 mm is approximately 4 inches. PB Swiss Tool is over 130 years old. The numbering system used to identify their products has evolved over time but will make more sense with some explanation. The basic 5 tip styles were originally numbered as follows: - 100 - slotted tip
- 190 - Phillips tip
- 192 - Pozidrive tip
- 205 - hex tip
- 400 - tip for Torx® screws
These 5 numbers were then followed by a '/' and a tip size. As the handles on PB products changed, it was necessary to identify different handle shapes and materials while still being able to readily recognize the tip style. So PB added a new number in front of the style number thus designating a new handle (ie. the '100' slotted screwdriver with a classic handle became an '8100' slotted screwdriver with a SwissGrip handle.) Further expansion of the PB range included longer and shorter shafts on drivers in the line. It became necessary to include the blade length (length of the shaft from where it comes out of the handle to the tip) in the full item number. For example, an 8100/3 (slotted driver with a SwissGrip handle) now has five different blade lengths ranging from 50 mm (2") to 300 mm (12"). You will see them listed as 8100/3-50, 8100/3-120, 8100/3-200, 8100/3-250 and 8100/3-300. We hope this information will help you accurately determine which tools will work for you and allow you to easily select them for your shopping cart. As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please contact us right away. We want your shopping experience to be fun and easy!
